Job Description: 

This is an exciting position in cancer genetics research at Duke University. We have developed very large datasets through sequencing of different human tumors. The successful applicant will be an integral member of a team involved in genetic analysis of cancers and would help develop new tools for data analysis and identifying the root causes of cancer.

Basic Qualifications: BS or MS in Computer Science or Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics with an interest in software development. Experience with Linux is essential. Experience with PERL, MYSQL and/or C++ is preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience is preferred, but is negotiable for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate must have excellent programming skills, communication and problem solving skills, and must be capable of working with a team as well as independently.
