Job Description: 

The Center for Cancer Cell Biology at the Van Andel Institute invites your application as we recruit faculty at any of the following three levels: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful applicant will have demonstrated a solid record of research productivity in accordance with their career level, as well as a clear potential for developing an exciting and rigorous research program.

VARI is located in a rapidly growing medical community in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Institute currently houses 23 laboratories devoted to basic cancer research, technology development, and translational research as well as multiple core facilities.


Applications are invited from candidates who have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a background in cancer genomics, metabolism, or cancer biology. Candidates will be expected to have a demonstrated record of productivity and previous success in obtaining external funding. Salary and start-up funds are competitive and commensurate with academic qualifications and experience.
