Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistical and Population Genetics
We are seeking applicants for a new initiative, Genomic Origins and Admixture in Latinos (GOAL), which aims to characterize genetic diversity in diverse Latino/Hispanic groups and develop novel statistical methodology for genetic analysis in heterogeneous, admixed populations. The applicant will conduct innovative analyses and develop novel approaches working with a multi-Institutional team lead by Dr. Eden Martin at University of Miami’s HIHG in collaboration with Dr. Carlos Bustamante’s team at Stanford University.
Applicants should have a strong computational background in mathematics or statistics. Additional training or experience in genetics and/or epidemiology is preferred but not required.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to email Curriculum Vitae and list of three references to email@example.com, attention: Dr. Eden R, Martin, with "postdoctoral position for GOAL" in the subject line.
The Hussman Institute for Human Genomics (HIHG) in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a post-doctoral fellow interested in joining our cutting-edge research team. The interdisciplinary and highly-collaborative faculty of the HIHG aims to discover the genetic influences on human health and apply this knowledge to the practice of medicine through improved diagnostics, treatments, and medications. The faculty has a unique track-record identifying genetic risk factors for more than 60 diseases combined.
