We are currently looking for a Research Associate in the Oncology and Angiogenesis group. This position requires experience in tumor models. The ideal candidate has experience in utilizing various (xenograft and orthotopic) tumor mouse models (including tail vein injections, sc, ip, im injections, tumor cell implantation, monitoring of tumor bearing mice, minor surgeries and necropsy), and testing of different antibodies and chemotherapeutic agents in tumor bearing animals. Additional responsiblities include tissue culture and cell-based assays. The candidate should also be able to independently plan and execute experiments and have excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a diverse groups of people, ability to independently follow verbal and written instructions, good organizational and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills (Word and Excel) are a must.

Technical skills: tissue culture experience, testing of different drugs in tumor bearing animals, in vitro assays including proliferation, migration and fibrin bead sprouting assays, some experience with flow cytometry, ELISA and luminex assays
Core competencies: tail vein, sc, ip, im injections; tumor cell implantation; monitoring of tumor bearing mice; minor surgeries and necropsy
This position requires a minimum of a BS or MS degree, and 2-5 years of experience working with in vivo tumor models
