The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is pleased to announce the search for a faculty member in the broadly defined area of Pathogen Genomics.
TGen is an Arizona non-profit medical and public health research institute with a global impact. This position will be located at TGen North, in Flagstaff, AZ, the home of the Pathogen Genomics Division. TGen North is a fast-paced and growing research facility with robust genomics and bioinformatics capabilities. TGen North is supported by the resources of the world-renowned research facilities at the TGen main campus in Phoenix and the Microbial Genetics and Genomics Center on the Northern Arizona University campus.
This search will be conducted at the assistant, associate and full professor level to identify an individual with outstanding abilities in pathogen research and science leadership. The successful candidate will have a doctorate degree, research experience commensurate with the hiring level, and demonstrated the capability to attract extramural funding to support research efforts to understand, diagnosis and/or treat infectious diseases with an emphasis on the genomic analysis of pathogens. Pathogen Genomics, for this search, is broadly defined and includes basic and applied research in diagnostics, bioinformatics, ecology, evolution, epidemiology, therapeutics, etc.
