Robert W. Baird Equity Research has an immediate need for an Analyst/Associate to join our healthcare team in Chicago, IL. The analyst plays an integral role in the research process. Analysts typically join a focused industry group and work closely with Senior Analysts. Equity Research Analysts provide quantitative support for industry- and company-specific research and assist in the preparation of financial models, written reports, and field research. We are looking for individuals with strong computer, analytical, writing, and presentation skills as well as an ability to analyze and interpret scientific and clinical data.


Bachelor’s degree required for Analyst/Associate candidates. Finance/Accounting degree strongly preferred. MBA required for Sr. Associate candidates. Candidates must have a proven academic record (minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0) and 2-4+ years of work experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work within a team and on a self-directed basis; excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; and advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior equity research experience, along with a background in healthcare is preferred but not required. Research Analysts are expected to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
