Research Assistant 2 (Job Opening 370076) - Performs independent standard cell biology laboratory techniques including sample preparation for whole genome, whole exome, and transcriptome sequencing of cancer (any and all kinds of cancer); prepares solutions and reagents; maintains accurate and detailed notes; organizes and analyzes data to communicate experimental results to Principal Investigator; assists in judging the validity of data obtained from experimental procedures and recommends additional tests and/or modifications; maintains quality lab environment including cleanup and organization; prepares graphs and other illustrations to facilitate the interpretation of research findings; translates and interprets data and assist in the planning of data presentation; assists in the preparation of papers for publication; performs library research on specified topics, including researching current literature for methods and trends and subsequent evaluation of those methods.
Bachelors Degree in a biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required; experience in a biological/health research capacity is required. Requires successful completion of a background check.
