Job Description: 

This position is key to driving execution of the company’s product development efforts. Program managers will work with an established phase gate product development process as Core Team Leaders, to drive projects to meet schedule, quality, COGs, product feature, and project cost deliverables. Successful candidates must be capable of working collaboratively with project “Core Team” members from various functions (Product Marketing, Development, Operations, Quality, Customer Support, Regulatory, etc.) to successfully drive new products to market under aggressive timelines. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in parallel, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

As Core Team Leader, the candidate will be accountable for overall project management and for ensuring that all aspects of the project are managed (Business, Operations, Quality, Development, Marketing, etc). He/she will lead a cross-functional team to drive execution to project timelines and overall program goals from initial concept through successful commercialization.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
 Leads the development of a project contract including project schedule, budget and deliverables. Schedules and leads formal phase gate reviews of progress with the Project Approval Committee (PAC)
 Identifies and resolves or escalates issues, facilitates tradeoff decisions, and removes obstacles
 Continuously analyzes and manages project risks
 Run regular Core Team meetings. Prepare meeting agendas, publish meeting minutes, ensure all required project documentation is generated and archived (including but not limited to project definition, project plans, risk analysis, financial analysis, market analysis, technical documentation, progress reports, presentations, technical reviews, organization readiness reviews, etc.)

Requirements: 

Education and Experience:
 Bachelor's Degree (B.S. / B.A.) in a scientific/technical discipline (biology, chemistry, engineering, etc.)
 Minimum of 6 years of experience in program/project management, product development and commercialization, preferably in a life sciences/biotechnical industry
 PMP certification preferred
 Experience with the Core Team Model and as a Core Team member
 Experience in successfully managing cross-functional team projects that integrate hardware, software, and consumables
 Successful track record for bringing new technology/products to market
 High level of interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
