The E-business Manager, Biosciences is responsible for leading the bioscience division’s (BID) web development and execution of strategic web, ecommerce, e-marketing and electronic commercial tools in coordination with centralized corporate efforts and cross-divisional business units.
The E-business Manager is responsible for driving the execution of web development, integration of legacy sites and ongoing web enhancement projects. Through close collaboration with BU’s, corporate E-business staff and BID/LPG cross divisional e-marketing team, the E-business manager will ensure divisional prioritization, execution and alignment with divisional, cross-divisional and corporate strategic objectives.
The E-Business Manager will work with business units and shared resources such as BID/LPG E-marketing team or similar corporate efforts to ensure appropriate management, prioritization and harmonization of marketing efforts using these resources.
The E-Business manager will also work with divisional commercial teams to prioritize and drive execution of common e-business processes such as development and execution of mobile device strategies and applications for field commercial team and customer use.
This E-Business manager’s success will be measured through project execution metrics, common business analytics and overall ability to work effectively with a wide variety of teams. The position will work in concert with business stakeholders, product teams, marketing, sales, e-Marketing, corporate e-Business, local and corporate IT teams to establish development priorities and execute work plans specific to the expansion of products in this grouping as well as the integration with overall company web and e-business efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and integrates the needs of BID business units, competitive dynamics and customer input to create and execute an overall strategy as well as a prioritized plan for functional development of BID web presence in close coordination with and support of corporate efforts. Coordinates development strategies with other Thermo Fisher Scientific web and e-Business development efforts.Working in concert with business stakeholders, product teams and IT/web development teams, establishes development priorities, ensures alignment across business units and with corporate projects to ensure timely execution of work plans.Leads efforts to collect and provide the web development teams with relevant business rules necessary to support the successful execution and ongoing management and integration of internal websites. Identifies opportunities to optimize web for navigation, user experience, promotions, bundling, e-commerce and cross-selling.Where BID businesses use external web sites e.g. channel partners, ensures commercial teams actively manage presentation product information, functionality and search results to ensure optimal results. Works with staff from Product Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Managers, e-Business team, Sales, scientific, IT and various operational staff to ensure content and functionality is developed and delivered to the web teams according to agreed timelines and quality standards.Evaluates internal concepts and voice of the customer information to determine what additional functionality and tools are needed on the web or relevant mobile devices e.g. selection guides, presentation content, profiling tools, applications, widgets, calculators, etc., develops business case and leads implementation.Coordinates with e-Marketing, Marketing and other teams to develop, report and analyze key metrics and incorporate into strategic and tactical planning
