Genome Standards Consortium Evolves and Expands to Keep Pace with Rapid Advances in the Field

At its annual meeting earlier this month, the GSC discussed expanding its MIGS/MIMS standard toward a broader specification that would encompass environmental sequencing. GSC has also formed a working group called M5 that aims to improve data-sharing and interoperability in metagenomics studies.
