LabCorp to Use Sysmex's Automated Hematology Systems for Five Years

By Kirell Lakhman

LabCorp over the next five years will use automated hematology systems made by Sysmex America, a unit of the Japan-based Sysmex, the companies said today.

The instruments have already been installed in LabCorp's primary testing labs.

The deal include Sysmex HST-N hematology automation systems, which Sysmex claims are "specifically designed" for commercial reference labs. They comprise XE-Series automated hematology analyzers, Sysmex SP-1000i automated slidemaker/stainers, and Sysmex-distributed CellaVision DM96 automated digital cell-morphology systems.
